There’s a First Time for Everything!

I’ve been quilting for 8+ years, and crafting for as long as I can remember. But I’ve never had a blog! I find a lot of my inspiration from other makers who share their creativity via blogs as well as on social media (Instagram, Facebook, Etc.) and I wanted to have a place to chronicle my continuing journey in the wonderful world of Quilting.

How did I get started? Back in the Summer of 2014, I made a small zipper pouch under a friend’s guidance at a crafty hang out. I was intrigued enough to purchase my own machine a few months later, and made more zipper pouches at home. I soon discovered pinterest, and made a string quilt with big-box store brand fabric and a very improv pattern of my own design. A 5″ square charm pack of Bonnie & Camille’s Vintage Picnic was my gateway into the quilting world. I learned everything I know from the good ol’ internet, devouring blogs and joining social media. I’ve participated in quiltalong’s, year long quilt bees, secret crafty package swaps and have made some incredible Friends. I wouldn’t be the Quilter I am today without the continued inspiration, education and encouragement from quilting friends and professionals alike. My goal is to pay it forward, hopefully sparking creativity for all quilters and crafters with my blog posts, sharing makes, new finds, old favorites, and more.
If you’ve made it this far, thanks for reading and come back soon!
xoxo
Sara
